Tour Plan
Day 1: Marrakech to Ait Ben Haddou
We start the journey early from Marrakech, heading towards Ait Ben Haddou, passing through the scenic High Atlas Mountains. Along the way, we will stop for beautiful views and photo opportunities. Once we arrive at Ait Ben Haddou, we will explore the UNESCO-listed kasbah, a historical site famous for its appearance in films such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones. After our visit, you can relax and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant. The first night will be spent in a hotel or riad in Ait Ben Haddou.
Day 2: Ait Ben Haddou to Boumalne Dades
After breakfast, we will continue our journey through Ouarzazate, visiting the Taourirt Kasbah, and head towards the Valley of the Roses. On our way, we will pass through the charming Berber villages of El Kelaa des M’Gouna and arrive in Boumalne Dades, a beautiful town nestled in the Dades Valley. The night will be spent in Boumalne Dades, where you can enjoy the stunning views of the valley and its famous rock formations, such as the “Monkey Fingers”.
Day 3: Boumalne Dades to Merzouga
After breakfast, we continue our journey through the Todra Gorge, a dramatic canyon with towering cliffs, before heading to Merzouga. Upon arrival, the first night in Merzouga will be free to relax and explore the town at your leisure. You can enjoy the local atmosphere, stroll around the area, and have dinner at your hotel or a nearby restaurant. The night will be spent in a comfortable hotel in Merzouga.
Day 4: Merzouga – Visit Rissani & Camel Trekking at Sunset
After a delicious breakfast in Merzouga, we’ll begin the day with a visit to Rissani, a small town famous for its traditional Madfona (Berber pizza). We’ll stop at a local eatery to enjoy this unique dish, made with flatbread and various fillings like meat, vegetables, and aromatic spices—a true taste of the region.
After lunch, we’ll return to Merzouga and prepare for an unforgettable camel trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes, the highest sand dunes in North Africa. In the late afternoon, we'll begin our camel ride, heading into the dunes just in time to catch the mesmerizing sunset over the vast desert landscape. The camel trek will lead us to a luxury desert camp where you can enjoy a traditional Berber dinner, live entertainment, and the peaceful, star-filled desert sky. The camp is fully equipped with comfortable tents and all the amenities, providing the perfect setting for an overnight stay in the dunes.
Day 5: Merzouga to Zagora
After an early sunrise, we’ll return to Merzouga and start our journey towards Zagora. On the way, we will stop to enjoy the vast desert landscapes and local villages. Once in Zagora, we’ll explore the town, known for its historical sites and proximity to the desert. The night will be spent in Zagora, a great place to rest after the desert adventure.
Day 6: Zagora to Agdz
After breakfast in Zagora, we will continue our journey towards Agdz, nestled at the foot of the Anti-Atlas Mountains. We’ll spend the night in Agdz, a tranquil town known for its palm groves and kasbahs. This will be the perfect place to relax and reflect on the journey before heading back to Marrakech the next day.
Day 7: Departure
After breakfast, we begin the drive back to Marrakech. We’ll pass through scenic mountain landscapes and Berber villages along the way. Upon arrival in Marrakech, you will be dropped off at your hotel or riad, and the tour will conclude.
